My Story
Since I was a little girl expressing myself through my outward appearance has been a very important part of who I am. I was the quietest kid with the loudest outfit in the room. Expressing myself through the clothing pieces and accessories I chose to wear as they spoke louder than words ever could.
When I got into middle school I changed my style to fit in and with that loss of individuality that had been such a strong force in my life. When I got to high school it was brought back to life when I got recommended to take fashion marketing. Suddenly the missing piece of my puzzle had been found yet again in the form of fashion. After a couple of hard years, I had a newfound confidence in wearing clothing items that made me feel like my true self. Thanks to my high school fashion marketing Rebecca Hardison for helping inspire me to pursue fashion.
Over the past 3 years at the VCUArts Fashion Merchandising program my love for fashion has grown and so have my skills. I hope to continue gaining more knowledge and fathering my fashion career after graduation.
