The Ask

The ask was to create a Contemporary fashion brand, which had 8 final looks, customer slides, textiles made of 70% cotton, color palette, full marketing plan, partnerships or events, tech packs, cost sheets, assortment plan and the use of CLO3D

I was tasked with working with my group to make a brand concept, 5 of our original 30 sketches, working to make illustrator flats. Finding textiles to use for our garments, multiple garments on cost sheet, creating customer mood board, along with packaging, hangtags, and working on our assortment plan.

Concept

Welcome to Unearthed. The debut fall/winter collection by Hid(E)den. Hidden eden was established in 2024 by a group of creatives with a shared appreciation for the overlooked intricacies of the natural world. Rooted in the heart of New Orleans, with its hidden courtyards and layers of history, it shapes our design philosophy. Just as the city invites you to discover its secrets, our garments encourage you to find the beauty in the unseen. The unique trims, intricate stitching, and natural textures that make every piece a personal discovery.

Design Process

Sketches

We started with each group member creating 5 sketches to have a total of 30. We then met with our critic from the industry who picked 10 of our looks asking us to combine 2 of them to create our final 8 looks that are shown above.

Technical Flats

Here we used Adobe Illustrator to create our flats adding our fabrication, trims, and details for each item in our collection.

Examples of our use of Clo3D. We used Clo-3D Technology to make our accurate weights for our garments, trims, embellishments, and hardware.

The Outcome

Through developing our brand Hid(d) eden for my line development course, I learned how to create a contemporary fashion brand from start to finish. Learning how to bounce ideas back and forth in a group to create a beautiful end result.
